Library

Library by Ron Arad is a sculptural installation formed from a curved patinated mild-steel wall with integrated boxes. The interiors of the boxes are clad in mirror-polished stainless steel, creating a strong contrast between the aged character of the surrounding steel and the highly reflective internal surfaces.

CIG was responsible for the engineering, production, transport, and installation of the approximately 2,000 kg structure. Our team developed the 3D production model, section divisions, connections, workshop drawings, and other production details required to translate Ron Arad's design into a buildable structure.

To enable transport into its London location, the library was divided into individual sections designed to fit through an approximately 870 mm-wide opening. The complete work was pre-assembled at CIG's facility for final approval before being dismantled, transported to London, and assembled at its final location.
