Hanoi Star

Hanoi Star is a monumental aluminium sculpture by renowned American artist Frank Stella, commissioned for the new U.S. Embassy in Hanoi, Vietnam. Standing nearly 20 feet (6 metres) tall, the sculpture features two interlocking multi-pointed stars inspired by the star on the Vietnamese flag—a recurring motif throughout Stella's career that bridges abstraction with cultural symbolism.

CIG played a key role in realising the sculpture, undertaking work preparation, material procurement, precision cutting, fabrication of the aluminium composite elements, and the production of custom assembly templates. The sculpture was fully prefabricated and pre-assembled at CIG's facilities before being prepared for installation at the embassy in 2029, ensuring the highest level of quality, accuracy, and efficiency during on-site assembly.
